Who are we?
Three partners have pooled their resources and know-how to bring Great Room Escape to Northern Utah. All Utah natives, the team has been visiting other escape rooms across the country and is pleased to bring the experience to their friends and family at home. Together, the local team members boast a combined 41 years in the themed attraction industry.
, who assembled the team, has been in the banking industry for over two decades handling sales, managing branches and working as a fully licensed broker. On the side, he became involved in the themed attraction industry 16 years ago, always harboring a love for all things spooky, mysterious and fun. Andrew Wilson
“In an escape room, you live the movie,” said Andrew Wilson, who is in charge of marketing and corporate events. “You are Indiana Jones or James Bond.”
has been in the themed attraction industry for 30 years, specializing in construction and sound design both nationally and internationally. Disney and Cirque de Soleil are recipients of his expertise he now brings to Great Room Escape. Greg Andersen
“It is a full-sensory and complete immersive experience,” said Greg Andersen, who serves as general manager of the venue.
Chaston rounds out the group with 18 years in IT and 10 years in banking, as well as more recent investing and management experience. While the other three were familiar with escape rooms, Chaston’s first experience was at Denver’s Great Room Escape. Ty Chaston
“After one game, I was mentally exhausted. It was that challenging,” Chaston said. “But I knew it was time to bring Great Room Escape to Utah.”
Great Room Escape is the brainchild of Greg Salyers of 13th Floor Entertainment fame. In 2014, he added his first escape room inside his San Antonio themed attraction as a way of making revenue year-round. Now, he has franchised locations in the United States as well as internationally, and it is growing.
